The rules and obligations that govern your use of Sociatrip. Please read carefully.
By creating an account or using Sociatrip, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. Also read our Privacy Policy.
Introduction
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and Fadi Massarwa, an individual developer based in Pavia, Italy, operating the SociaTrip platform ("Sociatrip", "we", "us").
These Terms govern your access to and use of our website at sociatrip.com, our mobile applications, and all related services (collectively, the "Platform"). By registering an account or otherwise using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Sociatrip. By using the Platform you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms in your jurisdiction.
If you are between 14 and 16 years of age, you may only use Sociatrip with the verified consent of a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 14 years of age. If we become aware that a user under 14 has registered, we will terminate that account immediately.
Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the Platform — including its design, software, logos, trademarks, and original content created by Sociatrip — belong exclusively to Fadi Massarwa and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without our prior written consent.
User Conduct & Restrictions
You agree to use Sociatrip only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. The following activities are strictly prohibited:
Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account without prior notice. We reserve the right to report illegal activity to the appropriate authorities.
User-Generated Content
You are solely responsible for any content you post, upload, or transmit through the Platform, including photos, trip logs, comments, and messages. By submitting content, you represent and warrant that:
- You own the content or have the rights to share it
- The content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights
- The content complies with all applicable laws and these Terms
- The content does not contain personal data of third parties without their consent
Sociatrip reserves the right — but has no obligation — to review, moderate, edit, or remove any content that violates these Terms or applicable law, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.
Affiliate Links & Commercial Disclosure
Affiliate relationships do not influence editorial content or recommendations. All affiliate links are disclosed in compliance with applicable consumer protection laws and FTC guidelines. Sociatrip is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or products of third-party websites reached through affiliate links.
Data & Analytics
Sociatrip collects and processes data generated by your use of the Platform — including usage patterns, feature interactions, and aggregated analytics — to improve our services and user experience. This data is processed in anonymized or pseudonymized form wherever possible.

Premium Subscriptions
Activation & immediate access
Premium access is activated immediately upon successful payment. Before completing the purchase, you are required to explicitly confirm that the service begins immediately and that you waive your right of withdrawal pursuant to Art. 59(a) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU and Art. 59 of Italian Legislative Decree 206/2005. This confirmation is recorded at the time of purchase.
Billing & Renewal
Premium subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (weekly, monthly, or annual) via Stripe, our payment processor. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You will receive a reminder email at least 7 days before each renewal.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Subscription. Cancellation stops future charges but does not refund the current billing period. Your Premium access continues until the end of the paid period.
Refund Policy
Because Premium access begins immediately upon payment and you have explicitly waived your right of withdrawal, refunds are issued only in the following cases:
- Duplicate charge due to a technical error on our part
- Service entirely unavailable for more than 48 consecutive hours due to our fault
Refunds are not issued for:
- Partial use of a subscription period
- Failure to cancel before an automatic renewal
- Change of mind after the service has begun
To request a refund in eligible cases, contact us at info@sociatrip.com within 30 days of the charge with your account email and transaction ID. Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days to the original payment method.
Right of Withdrawal (EU / Italian Law)
Failed Payments
If a payment fails, we will notify you by email and Stripe will automatically retry the charge. If payment is not received after all retry attempts, your Premium access will be suspended. Your account data will not be deleted due to payment failure.
Price Changes
We will give at least 30 days' written notice by email of any price increase before it takes effect. Your continued use of the subscription after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price. If you do not accept the new price, you may cancel before the effective date.
Payments & Payouts
All payments on Sociatrip are processed securely by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. Sociatrip does not store or have access to your full card number or banking credentials. All payment data is handled by Stripe in compliance with PCI-DSS standards.
Accepted Payment Methods
We accept major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and any other payment methods made available through Stripe in your region.
Payouts for Local Guides & Creators
Where Sociatrip offers earning features (such as local guide services or creator programs), payouts are processed via Stripe Connect or PayPal to your nominated account. Payouts are subject to:
- A minimum payout threshold as specified in your account dashboard
- Verification of your identity as required by applicable law and Stripe's policies
- Compliance with these Terms and Sociatrip's community guidelines
- Applicable taxes — you are responsible for declaring and paying any taxes on earnings
- Processing times as determined by Stripe or PayPal (typically 2–7 business days)
Payout Disclaimer
Account Suspension & Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Sociatrip reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account, without prior notice or liability, if:
- You breach any provision of these Terms
- Your account is involved in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
- Your use of the Platform harms other users or third parties
- We are required to do so by applicable law or court order
Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Any active subscription will be cancelled and a prorated refund may be issued for prepaid periods, except in cases of termination for cause.
Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Fadi Massarwa and Sociatrip shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Platform, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to Sociatrip in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Fadi Massarwa and Sociatrip from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:
- Your access to or use of the Platform
- Your content or any content you submit to the Platform
- Your violation of these Terms or any applicable law
- Your violation of any rights of a third party
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed if modification is not possible. The remaining provisions of these Terms shall continue in full force and effect.
Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pavia, Italy, without prejudice to your mandatory rights as an EU consumer.
Before initiating formal legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at info@sociatrip.com so that we may attempt to resolve the dispute informally.
For out-of-court dispute resolution, EU residents may use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform .
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes at least 14 days in advance via email or in-app notification, so that you have the opportunity to review the changes before they take effect.
Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Platform and may delete your account.
